The world is your mirror.
The good you find in others, is in you too.
The faults you find in others, are your faults as well.
After all, to recognize something you must know it.

The possibilities you see in others, are possible for you as well.
The beauty you see around you, is your beauty.
The world around you is a reflection, a mirror showing you the person you are.

To change your world, you must change yourself.
See the best in others, and you will be your best.
Give to others, and you will give to yourself.
Appreciate beauty, and you will be beautiful.
Admire creativity, and you will be creative.
Love, and you will be loved.
Seek to understand, and you will be understood.
Listen, and your voice will be heard.
Teach, and you will learn.

I have used this poem in a previous newsletter as well as in last Sunday’s session on the Universal Law “Like Begets Like”.  I began thinking about this poem in relation to our world and as in the microcosm so is the macrocosm.   So, I began understanding how we see others is creating the world we live in now….

I would like to share with you this excerpt from the Sunday session…

Consider another aspect of “like begets like”:  “like sees like”.  For example …what you see and dislike in someone else is a reflection of a part of your own nature.

When we see a disturbing fault in some else, we are not apt to consider that we also have that flaw in ourselves

However, the fault in another would not disturb or upset us if we did not have that same defect.  This one most of us find difficult to deal with and accept.

The reflective nature of this law tells us that when we judge another, the only person you are being judgmental of is yourself.  When we truly love, we do not judge.

And… the first step in accepting others without judgment is to stop judging ourselves.  Know that God loves you and accepts you just as you are.  Therefore… love yourself just as you are. To love yourself is to help eliminate the guilt and fear that pushes you to judge yourself and others.

The acceptance of God’s unconditional love is a freeing experience.

One of our great teachers knew and understood the fundamental laws of our being.  He knew that faults we see in others are our own faults and we hide this from ourselves… he spoke of it graphically in this reading….

Why do you see the splinter that’s in your brother’s or sister’s eye, but don’t notice the log in your own eye?  How can you say to your brother or sister, ‘Let me take the splinter out of your eye,’ when there’s a log in your eye?  You deceive yourself! First take the log out of your eye, and then you’ll see clearly to take the splinter out of your brother’s or sister’s eye.

Getting the log out of our own eye is not easy… but it can be done.  Recognizing that other person is a mirror for us… and really seeing in him or her as the change we have to make in ourself.

Becoming the observer of yourself is an important step in using this law… This does not include any judgment, conclusion, or decision that says you are wrong or deficient or a failure or suggest anything that implies guilt or a putdown of self or a need or fear or condemnation.

All the laws operate in our relationship with the Creator… as Creator is the law.  We need to trust Spirit if we are going to be in relationship with Spirit and have the benefits of this relationship.  Trusting…. having faith in God…. is working the Universal Laws.

From the Edgar Cayce readings….

“And remember you’ll be back again!  What do you want it to look like?  You have a greater opportunity at the present time than you will have at any other period of this particular sojourn.  So you’d better be up and doing, keeping self in accord with God’s laws.  For remember, God is not mocked and whatsoever a man sows that must he also reap, spiritually, mentally and materially.  For the law of the Lord is perfect.  It will convert the soul if you seek to know that law in your experience.”

Last Sunday’s SAG session’s focus was on our self.  How we live with our self and insight on how to move along as sweetly as possible on this journey in this incarnation using the Universal Laws.  This led me into the realization the same mirror principle is how we see the world.   The view we have of the world is our own creation.  The world is our creation.  We create and grow what we give energy to.  We move energy with our thoughts and place it in the frequency of those thoughts.  What we give energy to is what we manifest.

I believe even with what we see and hear about what is happening in our world, that we are evolving and raising the collective frequency.  I can feel it.  I work to see the Oneness of all living things in the eyes of another.  I try to see what common ground we share.  I approach others in the energy of respect.

It doesn’t always work out that way, but I am trying.  I’ve noticed when I do allow all the critical and judging to happen within me… I see the world in that lower frequency as well.

So, as in the microcosm so is the macrocosm.  And here we are.
